(9) Applications: Single conductor crosslinked polyethylene (XLP or XLPE) Type SIS VW-1 for use at 600 Volts or less. Approved per NEC Article 384 for instrument and control wiring where wiring is required to pass the UL vertical flame test. Rated for a maximum continuous operating temperature of 90oC in wet and dry locations.
Constuction:
Solid or stranded conductor, annealed or hard, coated or uncoated copper per UL83 and ASTM requirements.
Insulated with XLP as specified and applied tightly to the conductor in a concentric manner.
Conductors are "Oil and Gas Resistent II"
The standard color is gray.
All black insulation is rated "Sunlight Resistant".
